DEI & Diversity Recruiting Software for Enterprises

Enterprises hire at scale across many jurisdictions, so governance, legal review and monitoring shape the choice as much as features.

Research in progress

We have not yet verified which DEI & diversity recruiting platforms serve this segment. We rank DEI & diversity recruiting software for enterprises once at least 3 products have that evidence; until then, this page sets out what matters and what we evaluate.

What we evaluate

  • Inclusive job ad analysis

Flags exclusionary wording and unnecessary requirements in job ads.

  • Broad sourcing channels

Distributes jobs to more boards, communities and schools open to all candidates.

  • Anonymized screening

Hides names, photos and other non-job details from reviewers during early stages.

  • Structured interviews

Provides the same job-related questions and rating anchors for every candidate.

  • Skills-based assessments

Evaluates candidates with job-related work samples or tests.

  • Adverse impact reporting

Compares selection rates by group at each hiring stage.

  • Voluntary self-identification

Collects demographic data voluntarily and stores it apart from selection.

  • Demographic data access controls

Limits demographic and impact data to compliance roles.

  • Accessible application

Supports assistive technology and accommodation requests in the candidate flow.

  • ATS integration

Applies anonymization, scorecards and reporting inside the ATS.

What matters for enterprises

  1. Governance over demographic and impact data

Only compliance roles should access sensitive data.

  2. Monitoring across roles and locations

Patterns appear in aggregate before they appear in one role.

  3. Bias testing for automated tools

Some cities and states regulate automated hiring tools.

  4. Accommodation workflows

Large applicant volumes need a reliable way to request accommodations.

How to choose DEI & diversity recruiting software

Choose tools that improve reach and consistency for every candidate, and measure outcomes without feeding demographic data into decisions. Ask each vendor exactly where demographic data is collected, who can see it and whether any feature ranks, filters or routes candidates by a protected characteristic.

Bring a real job ad and a real hiring process to the demo. Rewrite the ad, set up anonymized screening and run a stage-by-stage adverse impact report on sample data.

  1. No selection by protected characteristic

The EEOC states that employment actions motivated by race, sex or another protected characteristic can be unlawful, including selection for interviews and candidate slates.

  2. Inclusive job ad analysis

The EEOC warns that ad wording can discourage protected groups from applying, and unnecessary requirements shrink the qualified pool.

  3. Broader sourcing channels

Relying on one network or channel can limit who hears about the job.

  4. Anonymized screening

Hiding names, photos, addresses and graduation dates during early screening keeps reviewers focused on job-related information.

  5. Structured evaluation

The same job-related questions and defined rating criteria for every candidate make decisions more consistent and easier to defend.

  6. Adverse impact reporting

Federal guidelines generally treat a selection rate for any group below four-fifths of the highest group's rate as a substantially different rate of selection.

Requirements by company size

  • Enterprises

    • Governance over who can access demographic and impact data
    • Adverse impact monitoring across many roles and locations
    • Accessibility and accommodation workflows at scale

    Watch out for

    • Programs designed before current EEOC guidance on DEI practices
    • Inconsistent anonymization across business units
    • Local rules on automated tools in some cities and states

Red flags

  • Features that filter, rank or score candidates by race, sex or other protected characteristics, or obvious proxies for them
  • Demographic data visible to people making hiring decisions
  • Promises of guaranteed diversity outcomes or quotas
  • AI matching or scoring with no bias testing or way to turn it off
  • No adverse impact reporting by hiring stage
  • Candidate-facing pages that do not work with assistive technology
