How to connect Slack to Ashby
- Have a Slack workspace admin connect it; the integration is global, so one connection covers the whole team.
- In Ashby, go to Admin, Integrations, Slack and click Add to Slack, then choose the workspace and click Allow.
- Ask each person to add Slack as a notification channel under Personal Settings, Notifications, because it starts switched off.
- Add Slack interviewer reminders under Admin, Interviews & Scheduling, Scheduling Defaults, Reminders, or on single interview activities.
- Turn on Configure Slack on the interview activities that should open a private channel.

Yes, to text messages: click Reply on the SMS notification and the answer goes to the candidate. Replies to note notifications are saved on the candidate profile.
Can I connect Ashby to Slack with webhooks?
No. Slack webhooks do not return successful pings to Ashby; Ashby points to its alerts or to middleware such as Zapier instead.
