How to connect QuickBooks to Connecteam
- Confirm your QuickBooks Online plan includes payroll and Track time (Essentials, Plus or Advanced).
- Set the same payroll period in QuickBooks Online and Connecteam.
- In the Connecteam time clock, open Settings, then Integrations, click Connect next to QuickBooks Online and approve the connection in QuickBooks.
- Review the automatic user matching, fix any wrong pair and leave out anyone who should not be exported.
- Match jobs and sub-jobs to customers, sub-customers or items, or leave them out, then save the changes.
- From the Timesheets tab, click Export, then Export to QB Online, and check the hours in QuickBooks before running payroll.

Yes. Connecteam exports total hours and job hours from its time clock to QuickBooks Online on plans that include payroll and Track time: Essentials, Plus and Advanced.
Does Connecteam integrate with QuickBooks Desktop?
Not with a live connection. For QuickBooks Desktop, Connecteam builds an IIF timesheet file that you import, and the import matches employees by name, so a single different character such as a hyphen stops it.
Do overtime and PTO hours export from Connecteam to QuickBooks?
Overtime goes inside the hours total rather than as its own line, so set up overtime rules in QuickBooks Online. Paid time off does not export at all.
Why are my Connecteam hours different in QuickBooks?
Check what cannot transfer: PTO, job-specific information and contractor hours. Connecteam also asks for timesheets in decimal format and the same payroll period in both systems.
What happens if I export the same pay period twice?
The second export replaces the hours already in QuickBooks Online, so you can correct a timesheet in Connecteam and export it again.
Where do Connecteam hours show up in QuickBooks Online?
Usually in the Time Activities by Employee Detail report, under Reports and Standard Reports. New users or jobs added since setup must be matched before they export.
